MVR typically schedules a Spring workshop yearly…but please contact us any time if you are interested in hosting one of our programs for your group/venue!

Merrimack Valley Ringers regularly presents Ringing Skills Workshops, where participants can enjoy a fun-filled day of classes, food, friends and great music.

Classes are taught by MVR’s enthusiastic and knowledgeable handbell artists. Participants can attend up to four classes throughout the day, with at least four different topics offered during each session. Classes include: beginning ringing, intermediate ringing, treble bell techniques, bass bells, ensemble ringing, beginning solo ringing, bell trees, and handchimes. Our goal is to help improve ringing skills, boost performance confidence, and encourage looking at this unique instrument in new ways.

Workshops can stand alone, or include an open MVR rehearsal, where you will witness some behind-the-scenes action (including the organized chaos that is equipment set-up and a sight-reading exercise where participants get to see what the group sounds/looks like when they’re NOT allowed any preparation!), followed by a potluck dinner and a free full-length MVR concert.
